End Of The School Year Behavior Issues

There are 20 days left in this school year. 90% of it was spent at home. So I expected Chloe to do better at the end of the year than she usually does.

Typically Chloe starts getting moody by the end of March. She throws more fits and acts in ways she hasn’t the whole school year. I thought maybe we would avoid it this year, but this week she has proved me WRONG!!

I picked her up around 10:30 am Wednesday because she was threatening to hit and kick her teachers. She was also hurting herself. Once I got out of the school parking lot she was right as rain. Yesterday the teacher said she was screaming a lot and throwing herself down. She stayed the whole day, but was grumpy….until we got down the road from the school. I’m waiting in the pickup area for her right now. I’m hoping today was better.

I use to wonder why her attitude shifted so much this time of year. Does she just get tired of getting up so early? Is she just done with dealing with all the noise and lights? I have talked to her so much, but no answer has ever been given. Chloe overstimulates very easily, so I’m not shocked school is tough on her. She is blessed with amazing teachers and assistants. They love her to pieces and I know she loves them. It’s just another Autism mystery.

She was excited this morning when she realized it was Friday. She goes to her Daddy’s on Saturday and gets super excited about it๐Ÿ˜Š. Her older brother and sister come over tonight as well. She asked me this morning *Chris and Mattie on Friday”? She has gotten quite close to them, which I love ๐Ÿ’•.

Hopefully a happy girl comes out in a few minutes and we can begin a great weekend. I hope all of you are doing well. Thank you for stopping by today.

Have a great afternoon ๐ŸŒป
