Walking For Better Health

Hi everyone. I hope you had a great Sunday. I was extra sleepy today, even after a full night’s sleep. That’s a good indicator my iron is low. I haven’t been doing my best at remembering my iron pills😮

I have mentioned in a previous post that Chloe and I do yoga together. We use to go for walks around the neighborhood before it got so cold. I eventually want an exercise bike for both of us to use. I think it would really help her a lot.

I have been using my walk DVDs 5 to 6 days a week. I typically do 2 to 3 miles a day, but would love to do more. Unfortunately my ankle starts aching after 3, so I know to stop. Walking is my favorite exercise to do. It’s easy and you can use fun DVDs or just play awesome music. You can walk slow or fast. Choose what’s best for you☺️

I also like to use light weights 2 to 3 times a week for muscle strengthening. At almost 50 I’m always reading how important strength training is for women my age. You can look online for simple exercises to do.

My goal each week is to walk 12 to 15 miles and to do at least 2 days of upper body strength training. Hopefully I can find a great deal on a exercise bike very soon. Then I can add that to my workout routine 🙂
