Her First Allowance πŸ˜Š

Good morning 🌞

I have posted before about having Chloe do chores to earn an allowance to help her understand the concept of money. I never got this off the ground, because she wasn’t at all interested.

She has started working on counting coins in her NTI school work and has been doing very well. I decided to give it a try and see how she does with it.

I am going to use index cards and a book ring. Each card with have a chore and how much money she gets for that chore. When she completes the chore she will put a sticker on the card. After all chores are done we will count out the change she has earned.

I plan on letting her decorate a jar just for her allowance. At the end of the week we will pour out the change and count it. Then I will have a reward board that will have things she can buy with her earnings. I am hoping this will teach her the concept of money. Hands on learning is always best.

I love these cards her teacher sent home. We work on them every dayπŸ™‚
