In an effort to eat healthier and to save money I am starting to cook more from scratch.
It’s crazy how much processed food we eat without thinking about it. We think a lot of it is healthy because it says low fat, sugar free, or all natural. Look at the ingredients, I can’t pronounce most of them. It’s comforting to know whats in our food. So I am slowly making changes to our diet.
Chloe and I both struggle with stomach issues. We both have dairy allergies. Our reactions aren’t severe and we do occassionally eat cheese or ice cream. We do not drink milk though. I substitute with Almond milk. I have been slowly decreasing all dairy from our diet or at least keeping it minimum. We both take a Vitamin D supplement to make sure we fill the gaps.
Beginning next week I will post one recipe a week of foods I’m replacing with homemade versions. I have been researching tons of recipes online and am excited to try them. I just hope Chloe will give them a try.
