GET ENOUGH SLEEP AND EXERCISE
How many of you go on very little sleep. Some nights our kiddos with autism wake up a lot or don’t sleep at all. Chloe is one who wakes up in the middle of the night and plays for hours!! Sometimes she goes back to sleep, but some nights she doesn’t. I have hypothyroidism and require more sleep than I use to. I want to get up early and get a few things accomplished before Chloe wakes up, but I just can’t crawl out of bed most days and get up when she does.
It is so important that we get the rest we need. Our brains work better and we just feel better. I know it isn’t that easy for some of us, but it is a goal to work towards. I know I am in a terrible mood if I don’t get enough sleep. When my hubby is home on the weekends we sometimes take turns dozing off. Lol. Hey as long as someone is watching Chloe we are good.
The next thing is exercise. I love doing walking workouts, but sometimes the day gets away from me and I don’t get my workout in. Then the muscle aches start and I feel frumpy and extra tired. I try, even if its only a 1 mile walk to workout at least 4 to 5 times a week. I really want to improve in this area. My goal is to walk 40 minutes 5 to 6 times a week. Its all about motivation and getting into a routine. I know I feel 100% better when I am exercising regularly. I will be 47 this month and I am starting to notice how strong our daughter is getting. I NEED to work out just to keep up with her.
So those are my tips for today. Do any of you struggle in these areas? How are you working to get back on track?
