We had a very relaxing weekend. No plans to go anywhere. Ahhh nice. Saturday was full of swimming and baking. Chloe loves to help in the kitchen, when she feels like it. Her Dad and I attempted to play board games with her, but she wanted to play in her room. We actually enjoy calm days like this.
Sunday morning Chloe crawled into bed with me and Brett put on her movie. I dozed on and off while Chloe gave me lots of hugs and Mommy Ahs. Mommy Ahs are when she presses her cheek on mine and says “Mommy Ahhh”. She has been doing this since she was 3 years old. She spent a few hours in the pool, while I read my new book Once Upon a Farm. We bought her a new, smaller pool. The bigger one was a lot of work and water. She just wants enough to sit in and occasionally sit on her floatie. She loved having a smaller one.
During the afternoon she wanted tickles from Daddy and asked me to draw for her. She was so happy and giggly. By 7:15 she was ready for bed. It wasn’t an exciting weekend, but Chloe was happy and that’s the most important thing to us.
